ANNOUNCEMENT: I'm excited to say New World Notes' reach will be expanding its reach in the next month or two, and I'm looking for media partners who want to be part of that expansion.
By media partners, I don't just mean "advertisers", but brands and companies in the virtual world/metaverse industry which want to build awareness and engagement at multiple levels of their business. I've been juggling multiple roles like this since my days at Linden Lab, and now that Making a Metaverse That Matters is out, I'm passionate about doing that for the next wave of projects.
Read on for more details and examples:
- I collaborated with Samsung on developing and publishing a couple metaverse policy/investment papers, and on the launch of a "Killer App" contest for its VR headset line.
- I worked with OnLive on launching its cloud streaming service to Second Life users, working closely with them on the marketing campaign and strategy, along with NWN partner posts demonstrating the technology.
- I was a longtime marketing, editorial, and bizdev strategist/consultant for Unity partner Sine Wave Entertainment, helping them roll out their enterprise platform Breakroom while securing them partners/customers, including a well-known Fortune 500 company.
As for New World Notes as a media outlet, it's the longest running and most read metaverse/virtual world blog with a primary focus on Second Life and its many spinoffs, metaverse platforms, and related technologies, often cited by The Atlantic, New York Times, the BBC, Bloomberg, Wired, and other top outlets. According to Similar Web, we typically attract 100,000-150,000 visits a month (sometimes more, sometimes less), a highly targeted readership interested in virtual worlds, immersive games, and computer/video game hardware.
