LeYo has a stream of wonderfully expressive black and white photos. They make me think of Helmut Newton’s pictures, gorgeous aesthetic photos, suggestive, sometimes transgressive. Many of her photos are in lingerie or swimwear, sensuous, always tasteful and appealing. A sort of modern cheesecake.There is this knowing look in her eyes. There is someone home.

“Our Day Will Come” is a fun picture. I love the dress. This has a vintage appeal with the polka dots, the classic car, the hat. It’s all very Hepburn in Funny Face.
“Piece of Me” is a gorgeous self-portrait. With her smoky makeup and her sly look at the camera, she’s very reminiscent of Dita von Teese.
LeYo has a gorgeous photostream rich in gorgeous black and white self-portraits, a sort of modern cheesecake, but more knowing, more sophisticated. Like cheesecake with bourbon.

Have you been hoping your work might be featured someday? There are thousands of Second Life residents on Flickr and sometimes it’s worth it to promote yourself. There is a Flickr group for you to post your pictures and put yourself forward. Sometimes it just takes getting noticed. Tell your friends to do the same.

Cajsa Lilliehook is a sixteen year resident of Second Life, where she owned a photo studio, spent several years as a DJ at The Velvet, and for her first SL job, cleaned up prim trash. She co-founded and runs the It’s Only Fashion blog with her best friend Gidge Uriza. She also has a book review blog, Tonstant Weader Reviews and a cooking blog, Single Serving Recipes. She spends a lot of time researching and reporting on Republican sexual predators. In her first life, she is a retired grassroots leader who has worked for economic and social justice issues most of her life. She is also the minion of a cat named Nora.
