Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Mitra Ardwyad’s photostream struck me as a blogger stream at first since she kindly provides some credits and a history of the outfits origins. For example, this dress is inspired by Empress Josephine’s coronation gown.
As it turns out, she is a designer/creator of vintage and historical fashions for her store Grasshopper St. These are illustrations, not vendor pics as her vendor pics are full of all sorts of info on what the clothes are rigged for and so on. I love how informative the picture descriptions are.

I love the clothing of the 1920s. This is inspired by Louise Brooks, the actress. I love how the Art Deco setting sets off her dress. My own interest in fashion began with flapper dresses because my very eccentric great-aunt wore them all her life, long after the 20s were long gone. I suppose if she had lived until I was an adult I would have stopped thinking she was cool, but for a child, she was the coolest.
I love this picture. It feels like a fairy tale picture. It could be the cover of a storybook, like a young adult or teen reading. The setting is idyllic. And here she shares the history of the codpiece.
Mitra Ardwyad’s photostream is full of fabulous pictures with all sorts of historical details. If you love vintage fashions (or roleplay) this is for you.

Cajsa’s Choices is devoted to unique, artistic, and innovative virtual world-based images and screenshots that showcase the medium as an art form and Second Life as a creative platform. (Generally not images that fit on this Bingo card.)
Cajsa Lilliehook is a sixteen year resident of Second Life, where she owned a photo studio, spent several years as a DJ at The Velvet, and for her first SL job, cleaned up prim trash. She co-founded and runs the It’s Only Fashion blog with her best friend Gidge Uriza. She also has a book review blog, Tonstant Weader Reviews and a cooking blog, Single Serving Recipes. She spends a lot of time researching and reporting on Republican sexual predators. In her first life, she is a retired grassroots leader who has worked for economic and social justice issues most of her life. She is also the minion of a cat named Nora.
She is a wonderful content creator, and so easy to engage with, so glad you did this post on her talents.
