RSVP to See if RP1 Really Has Created the Canonical Metaverse -- They're Doing a Live Group Demo on July 17!

Remember RP1, the upcoming, pretty impressive metaverse platform I demoed and blogged from Augmented World Expo a few weeks ago? The startup is giving a live group demo of the tech (billed as an "AWE afterparty") on July 17 at 11am PT -- go here to RSVP.

Again, RP1 is claiming they can deliver 100,000 user concurrency on a single shard, in a single, contiguous world. In the demo I got, there were thousands of simulated avatars, but RP1 says their current set up can support 100K -- then eventually scale to millions of concurrent users.

I did the AWE demo in a Quest 3, but the developers tell me RP1 will be fully usable from any device. As for highly customizable avatars, powerful experience creation tools, and real world economy integration, those are coming soon: Check out their whitepaper for more details.

RP1 is promising so much, I'm a bit skeptical they can deliver on everything they say they can do, especially so early on, but RSVP to see for yourself.
