Bunny Fun SL is a Second Life Flickr group created by Siobhán Muintir who must spend many hours moderating to keep her groups on topic. This untitled pic is from Fulvio Macchi and is both beautiful and amusing at the same time. The two animesh jackalopes are extraordinary and also make me think of the trope of the crazy uncle at holiday dinners. It’s the expression on their faces, they clearly subscribe to at least three conspiracy theories.

“Les Incroyables et Merveilleuses” give us a bipedal rabbit and frog and they are dressed to impress. The picture description explains how these two divergent fashion movements countered each other while happening concurrently. I love the fantastical avatars who are so very chic.
“Chasing Rabbit” shows a sweet rabbit and human encounter. The title is clearly a reference to the Jefferson Airplane song. “And if you go chasing rabbits and you know you’re going to fall…” let’s hope your adventure is as exciting as Alice’s was
Tresore Prada gives us this idyllic scene with the hilarious title, “OK Henry, get that shot already, we don’t have all day…” It feels like the bunny is sight-seeing and maybe it is. More than once, you will see an animal in the wild pause and seem to just take in the fresh air, sunshine, and the beauty of the day. Is there any rule they can’t enjoy the scenery as much as we do?
Bunny Fun SL has 118 members and is well-moderated with no off-topic pics. However, there is wide latitude in the kinds of Leporidae allowed, from bipedal humanoid hares to animesh wild bunnies to stuffed bunnies. They vary from the sweet and charming to the wild hares of your nightmares. That is just perfect because bunnies do bridge the domestic to wild life with grace and charm. So long as they aren’t digging up your asparagus.
