Here's a favorite point of advice from this new post -- which is actually advice for customers:
Customers (And Creators Who Are Also Customers) -- Support Your Favorite Brands!
I'll preface this by saying basically SL is the only job I can do due to multiple disabilities. It's my only source of income, and there's this weird image people have of SL creators making bank, I think because of the notable outlier of extremely successful brands who have made real world news at times.
Many creators are in a similar situation [as mine] -- disabled, caregivers, etc. The reality is many of us make only between 50-500 USD every month. It's an unstable income in the best markets (Summer dip, Christmas dip, etc etc).
I wish I could tell people who love creators’ work, please leave positive reviews more often!
Please reach out if you have a problem with our work, often we can fix it for you and everyone quicker and easier having a conversation with someone than we can to a poor review.
If you really like a release, just send us a little message once in a while telling us so! Remember we're both people on either side of the screen.
