Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Tukihana Boa’s “Bloom'' is so beautifully romantic it lifted my spirits and made me smile. I also love her use of depth of field with her face so defined we can see every individual lash and strands of hair while the flowers are all in a blur framing her face. I also love her use of white space with the flower only partially framing the picture and leaving the wall behind blank. It’s a gorgeous composition.

“Summer Waterside” is a picture that makes me want to be there. There are so many great choices in this picture. I love that her dress is the color of the water and the mist. It keeps the colors in a green and off-white scheme that is peaceful and gentle on your eyes. I again love the white space that seems to be a bit of fog making me think this is early in the morning before the sun has burned off all the fog.
boldly colored donuts. There is one thing missing from the picture, though. Coffee to dunk the donuts in. Even though there are bold reds, blues, and yellows, this picture shares a quality that is common to all Tukihana’s pictures, a gentle quietness. Her pictures don’t scream “Look at me!” They whisper. But you know, when someone whispers, people stop and listen closely. Speaking of donuts, I asked in the Family Facebook group if anyone had Mom’s donut recipe. My nephew said he did and posted “Take ten pounds of flour…” It was Mom’s restaurant recipe!
Tukihana Boa has a delightful photostream. I can imagine listening to a violin solo while browsing her pictures, they have such a quiet serenity to them. Like many Second Life residents, there are plenty of dishabille pictures of her about the house or on a beach. However, they are tasteful and there are strategic, though sheer or lacy, fabrics artfully employed. She pays close attention to detail and composition and it shows.
