Note: Survey may require mouse or trackpad
Here's an easy and (hopefully!) fun survey question to end the week:
- Go to the new-ish SecondLife.com homepage through a browser you don't usually use with your existing SL account.
- Does it make you feel motion sickness? Answer the survey question above!
Again, for the full effect, visit the homepage in a browser window that doesn't have your account info already cookied.
Sort of off-topic, but how can Facebook spend $50 billion - and plans to spend another $50 billion - on a "metaverse" that looks and performs worse than Second Life? Do they not even look at other virtual worlds? Does nobody in the press hold them to account? Do investors? Hedge funds? It is astonishing.
What if SL had even a single billion dollars? Yet they can't even make a mobile client. What a world.

I tried the homepage with Chrome (cleared cookies), and also a brand new Brave with no cookies -- it just looked perfectly normal, the usual. What new thing is supposed to happen?

No, because whatever is there gets removed by my tracker filters... I only see text on a black backdrop. Nicely serene.

Is something supposed to move? I just see the usual static SL homepage. What are we supposed to see?
