Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Ali H is a Flickr microblogger, but she’s not blogging travel, decor, or fashion. She blogging about her adventures in Second Life. I liked this picture of the bakery she found while looking for wine and her encounter with a Second Life burglar.
“Well, it’s not wine. But doughnuts are an acceptable backup plan. A bakery! Happy twirls! There was also a small yacht moored nearby which a random passerby was trying to coerce me into stealing with him. Swanky neighborhood. Only in SL, right? Of course this is kinda why we love it. I derendered him quickly, (oh, the joy) grabbed my pastries and headed back to the farm.”

This gorgeous picture with a horse and carrots is from a day exploring Bella’s Lullaby. She talks a bit about the weather in her Georgia home before moving on to her SL adventures. And of course, she talks about feeding horses. “I have been bringing carrots to horses in my real life literally all my life, so this activity is extremely true to reality for me, and it made me very happy! Horses are indeed my forever blissful place.”
Ali H loves Second Life and Flickr. She takes pictures and writes about them. I don’t know if you will think of her as a blogger or not. She’s not marketing anything. She doesn’t tell you what she’s wearing. She shares something much more important. She tells you what she is thinking. In her about page, she describes how Flickr enriches her Second Life:
I so love the Flickr community and my cherished circle of friends here, filled with wonderful, creative souls who see and share so much beauty each day. With every photograph or SL capture, I believe we expose a smidge of ourselves. That's wonderful. If not for Flickr, I'm certain I would have abandoned SL shortly after discovering it. The creativity, the friendships, the sharing of pieces of our lives across time and distance, that, to me, is what adds the life to SL. Without those elements, it's really just a bunch of pretty pixels.
