Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Cocolinox Fhang (DeCuir) says he’s not a photographer, “just a big kid coloring.” Well, maybe so, but he colors outside the lines with verve and imagination. Who else looks at a power line and thinks tightrope? Here we have a daring funambulist daring not only gravity, but electricity. There should be some disclaimer, though, that says “no avatars were harmed in the creation of this picture.”

This is one of those pictures that really require more than a casual glance as you hit the down arrow. Where is his head hiding? Of course, he is standing up out of the water, so the fish do need the headgear to breathe as they look around. Which begs the question, who is directing his movements, is it him or the fish?
“Traffic Jam” is an older picture, from 2019. It is his most popular picture and I think it is very emblematic of what he brings to his coloring book. There is this constant sense of whimsy. He is not concerned with always looking like some guy on the cover of a romance novel or in an ad in GQ. He’s here to have fun, to enjoy life, and find joy in the ridiculous.
Cocolinox Fhang (DeCuir) will shoot the occasionally romantic pose, but those are minor indulgences in a stream where he is most concerned about having fun, lighthearted fun with the many oddities and wonders of Second Life. He also understands how sexy a good sense of humor is, adding whimsy to the most provocative pictures. His work is unexpected, fresh, and so much fun.
