Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
First Snow recently posted “Do You Want Me to Give You a Balloon?” which made me think of the movie It even if this isn’t the same clown. I guess It's the red balloon. I like this picture quite a bit. It is very moody and evocative of scary things that go bump in the night. OR perhaps I have a different scary clown in my head.

Thus Yootz 3 shared “In Great Company.” I think the word is horrific - terrific horror, if you please. There’s something impressionistic about this picture. It’s cleverly done. It’s possible at first glance you won’t even notice the victim as she sort of fades into the rocks and brush, her blood staining the rocks. Meanwhile, he leans back against the rocks, in the great company of the dead.
Marci Masala shot this pic at the Black Rose Metal Club in April. It’s a snap of the doorman. “It” is still with us. You would think someone might notice this sort of clown wandering about and offering balloons to kids. He’s downright terrifying. I love how even in a casual snap taken on the fly, she frames it using the Rule of Threes in placing the scary clown.
Tiya Aura gives us “Just a Sad Old Clown” and it feels oddly empathetic. There is some fellow feeling for this sad old clown whose makeup is cracking and whose clothes are worn and torn. We can imagine his solitary loneliness and alienation. I still would ask him to a children’s birthday party.
Second Life residents love clowns. There were more than 5000 returns for my search. I chose only a few, I think browsing the entire list would give me nightmares.
