Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Mimi Soleil is the Queen of Camp and her photostream is a rollicking adventure. From movie posters like “Part 92?” mocking all the Sharknado titles to magazine covers and comic books, she turns Second Life into the mediums of popular culture pre-internet. She often tells a little bit about how she created a picture. In the description of a recent pic, she wrote, “Sandbox fun! No post-effects. All transparent prims. Actually, the only post effects I usually do are lens-flares or cleaning up intersecting meshes.” According to her description, this Sharknado film capture was also shot in a sandbox.

“Be Read for the Next Level” seems to suggest that when climate change heats us up even more, Coppertone will be ready. This is a great play on the original Coppertone girl pictures and she’s all grown up. Coppertone still uses the logo, but with a much more demure silhouette. Today the dog is merely playing, not pulling down her swimsuit bottom, but in the past, the “Coppertone Girl” had the most famous rear end in America. The original Coppertone Girl is interviewed here.
And here’s a comic book, “The most exciting comics debut since June 1938.” That’s when “Action Comics #1” was published. Her Green Horton cover is spectacular. She reimagines the characters for her Second Life and it’s wonderful.
Mimi Soleil kindly has organized her work into several albums so you can stroll through just her movie posters if you like. Some albums tell a story. There’s album cover art. Comics, SLTV ideas, and so much more. Her imagination is boundless and you cannot help but be enthralled.

Cajsa’s Choices is devoted to unique, artistic, and innovative virtual world-based images and screenshots that showcase the medium as an art form and Second Life as a creative platform. (Generally not images that fit on this Bingo card.)
Cajsa Lilliehook is a seventeen year resident of Second Life, where she owned a photo studio, spent several years as a DJ at The Velvet, and for her first SL job, cleaned up prim trash. She spends a lot of time researching and reporting on Republican sexual predators.
