Take survey on desktop/laptop PC with mouse or tablet for best results
Thanks to readers who recommended their favorite new-ish Second Life brands over the last few months! Now please take this survey to choose the brand you'd like to see featured in a New World Notes post. Use a laptop/mouse for best results, and first check out all the brand links and descriptions below.
In alphabetical order, they are: Aardvark, [ADD], The Discord Experts, Dope Pixels, Limited Addiction, Luova, Manikin!!, NeutralTones, RudeGirls Shapes, and Star Quake Shapes & Beauty.
Again, info and links to all of them below. If the survey results are close, I may cover the top two-three, so please be sure to share this survey far and wide!
Aardvark (Marketplace)
“Aardvark makes some pretty funny stuff. Their items always makes me smile. I was riding around on a balloon dog! They started out in decor and have been making a lot of animals lately.” (Recommended by “Jessie”) Flickr feed here.
ADD (Marketplace)
“I make clothing for women, casual and playful. Second Life has become a real second home for me, where I can realize my creative aspirations. I am very grateful to my customers for their support and the opportunity to continue making beautiful clothes.” (Alex, owner) Flickr feed here.
The Discord Experts (Marketplace)
“Simply put, we interface Second Life with Discord, and offer a wiiiiide range of tools for private homes, shops, clubs, roleplay sims, communities etc. The product range is modular and requires a Base (sold at 5 L$) and then any number of add-ons suiting the needs of the individual user. In terms of social media, you find out very vivid user community, support and product info at Discord (of course) (Peter Strinberg, owner)
Dope Pixels (Marketplace)
"We make beautiful, scene-changing skyboxes from real-world photos, renders and AI, but mostly AI lately! It's gotten so good," says owner Adrienne Lowe (Andi Ayashi, owner) Facebook feed.
Limited Addiction (Marketplace)
“Limited Addiction was created to house all my original mesh under one brand. It took quite a few years to teach myself how to model, rig, and render textures! But it was all worth it and I absolutely love my little brand and hope others will enjoy it as well! As for style....it is kind of all over the place just like me. Some days its a goth mood, others kawaii, or just a cozy casual fit!” (limitedaddiction, owner) Flickr feed here.
Luova
“I blog for an incredible lady who is the epitome of kindness and creativity. She single-handedly designs and crafts everything herself. Not only does she create amazing and versatile products, but she also generously gives back to her community with monthly store credits, giveaways, and more. Her dedication to offering a wide variety of options truly sets her apart.” - Black
Manikin!!
“In addition to cute dresses and casual outfits, my slogan tee range called ‘Q-Tees’ is especially close to my heart. It gives me a canvas for my creativity and humor. I've had customers write to me about how the tees allowed them to express themselves and feel proud about themselves. I recently extended this range to RL too, so people can have the same tee in RL as their avatar in SL! Check it out on Redbubble.” - NescaFey
NeutralTones
"They started off with really unique shoes but branched out into doing more interesting fashion accessories that could only exist in Second Life," writes Anya Ohmai. "Brilliant mind and creative!"
RudeGirls Shapes
“Hi, I'm Delina and I've been playing Second Life since the pandemic... I can't even measure what SL has done and does for me all this time, in the different situations and losses I've experienced. In November 2022 I created the RudeGirls Shapes Store (Real Beauty is Rude), I make shape curves and I really love my work in SL. The store is small and the group too, but my work is done with all my love. I serve the customer from the sale to after-sales if needed. My product has quality and girls tend to like it a lot.” - DelinaMarly
Star Quake Shapes & Beauty
"Definitely check out Starquake by my dear friend Theo (Lore Olivieri)," writes Peter Stindberg. "They are very new, aspiring, but with already good items. Theo makes unique shapes and focuses on non-binary niche - they even run their own blog about queerbodies."
Results announced in the next couple weeks!
I really like Aardvarks humour.
