Pantoufle The Poodle is a Second Life resident that I only discovered yesterday, peeping out of the French group pictures. How could I resist that gorgeous face, so sweet and delightful. And then the camera, establishing Pantoufle’s bona fides as a photographer. It’s an account jointly managed by Emeline Laks & Panda Banana who take Pantoufle out for walks and for snaps.

In TLou(Fle), Pantoufle finds himself in trouble but so are Emeline and Panda. It looks like the end of days and they are in dire straits. What makes this even more exciting, in the description you can click to Emeline and Panda’s version which are both very different from our puptographer. I don’t want to spoil the suspense, but there are more recent photos from Pantoufle, so they must have survived.
“Summer Treasure” is my favorite picture. First there is the incredible diagonal that goes from Pantoufles button eyes and the bone. He’s focused. Intently focused, just like a dog with a bone. But what delights me even more is the background, the silhouette of the trees and the man walking by. It just feels so spontaneous and caught right in that magical instant. Yes, we know the picture was cleverly and carefully prepared, but it looks like it was taken on impulse.
Pantoufle The Poodle, alas does not take pictures frequently, but every picture is a delight. Some times his adventures are a bit scary, but most of the time, he’s having good clean fun.
