Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Yoasa makes me think of those commercials from my childhood that asked, “Is it live or is it Memorex?” I have to ask, is it live or is it Second Life? Her choice to make her pics black and white and frame them like a Polaroid, which makes them even more realistic, but that little bit of fiction would not be so magical if the pics themselves were not already stunningly life-like. (But she includes the SLurl of where this was taken.) I also love how the raven is sitting so close to that acorn decoration on the merlon. They’re dating.

If I were to name this untitled picture, I would call it “Yearning”. She’s glancing up and her looks are so very full of desire. I also love the verticals in this pic. There are the buildings in the background and the building wall the woman is standing up against. Then she looks up. It’s really stunning.
This picture is just too perfect for words. It’s like a composition class. There are these strong diagonals and, sure, they are not from corner to corner, but they are offset an equidistant amount. The picture makes fantastic use of white space (or sand, if you will.) Then, of course, her avatar is placed by a perfect rule of thirds. The whole picture makes me happy.
Yoasa is a fantastic follow. I am so happy I discovered her stream recently and can’t recommend following her enough. Some of her pics are very subtle nudes, nothing prurient or anything, just open, honest love of human form. But it would be worthwhile using safe mode if you’re at work because many workplaces are persnickety.

Cajsa’s Choices is devoted to unique, artistic, and innovative virtual world-based images and screenshots that showcase the medium as an art form and Second Life as a creative platform. (Generally not images that fit on this Bingo card.)
Cajsa Lilliehook is a seventeen year resident of Second Life, where she owned a photo studio, spent several years as a DJ at The Velvet, and for her first SL job, cleaned up prim trash. She co-founded and runs the It’s Only Fashion blog with her best friend Gidge Uriza. She also has a book review blog, Tonstant Weader Reviews and a cooking blog, Single Serving Recipes. She spends a lot of time researching and reporting on Republican sexual predators. In her first life, she is a retired grassroots leader who has worked for economic and social justice issues most of her life. She is also the minion of a cat named Nora.
