Shakilyn Peppermint gives us a slice of trailer park life in “Just a Girl with a Dream.” She has a great set up, though, with her swimming pool and her chickens. She’s unusually lax about allowing that German Shepherd to harry the chicken. I love how naturalistic the dog is. Animals have come a long way in Second Life.

Here’s Shakilyn playing some music on the beach. I love these slice of life pictures and wish more people showed themselves having fun in SL. They make Second Life look like a great place to hang out.
“Up to Snow Good” is another great picture of having fun in Second Life. It also reminds me of how much we liked to slide down our neighbor’s stairway in the winter. The weekender who had a cabin at the highest point on the lake had a stairway that was 120 steps long with two horizontal breaks cut into it that could send your sled flying. But not too high, as you had to make your way through the upright arms that raised the longest dock on the lake upright into the air for the winter. Unlike the rest of us who stored our docks on shore for the winter, their dock rose up in the air like a giant upright finger, dwarfing the birches and Norway pine. That family never once came out in the winter so they had no idea they had a thrill ride that was scarier and more fun than anything at the fair.
Shakilyn Peppermint is another of those people who understands that Second Life is a place to make friends and have fun. I love seeing that side of Second Life getting top billing.
