Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Tooku Fadlan shot this amazing pic at Luane’s World, a popular photo destination. [SLurl teleport link here] The sunshine beating down on the meadow suggests a hot summer day. The grass is bright green and the sky is blue and all is right with the world. And with this picture. Tooku uses the bikes and fence as a leading line into the picture creating a sense of energy even with everything is stationary.

“Don’t Dup” is another picture with a great use of light. The pedestrian alley is dark, you can barely see the stairs, but the street beyond is bright. Clothes line cross back and forth across the alley. The darkness of the alley could be a bit intimidating, but there is all the sunshine at the end. It’s kind of a metaphor for life, a bit of struggle and then sunshine.
This is a distant shot of a large area. The sheep seem more like stones against the vastness of the landscape. Some might find this bleak, but there’s beauty in the spare landscape. There’s only a few clusters of tall grass. The water tower seems the size of a toy. There is so much beauty, though, in the layers of stone and dirt, a tapestry of browns and greens.
The picture is called “Endless: Antipodes”. I love that word. While it can mean someone who is your total antithesis, its original meaning is the spot directly opposite wherever you are on the globe. But then, if you go there, your home spot is the antipode, so it’s like chasing a rainbow, it moves as you move. Unless, of course, you use the Antipodes to refer to Australia and New Zealand. That’s very Anglocentric of course. The other cool thing is antipode and antipodes are pronounced differently. I’m sure there is some complicated explanation.
Tooku Fadlan takes such beautiful pictures. Her pictures are composed thoughtfully to show the beauty in even simple things like a wall, a few distant trees, or laundry blowing in the wind. I have featured tooku before and still think you won’t find a bad picture anywhere. And she nicely provides SLurls.
