Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Jawhara caught my attention for a few reasons. She’s a Flickr micro-blogger who wears clothes more often than not. She has a consistent look with her delicate and refined features, her strong cheekbones and brows, and the tenderness in her eyes. I don’t know if it’s the eye-maker or her use of pose expressions, but even her simplest pictures have emotional heft. In “LaRosa,” the picture is turned on its side which normally would irritate me, but she is positioned so her head is not perceived as sideways, making it a far more dynamic picture.

“Cherry Cola” is an adorable picture, but it looks very uncomfortable. There’s a little-girl element to this picture with the pose and the ruffles at the end of her sleeves. At first glance, you might think she was holding the hem of her dress, but it’s just ruffles. Again, her eyes show her vulnerability and have real emotional effect.
She shared “Clear Waters” back in February, but that jacket might have been handy in the high winds here on Saturday night. I love how comfortable she looks all dressed for the weather. Her hair blows in the wind just a bit to remind us why she needs a jacket.
Jawhara caught my eye for a few reasons. First, she wears clothes. I may sound like a broken record but I am tired of streams of women wearing nothing but lingerie and swimwear and tops that slip and skirts that flip. It’s not that I am a prude, it’s that it’s boring. Everybody and their sister is doing it. But it’s more than that. I like her style and her decor as well. She’s of the less is more school of homes you can walk through without tripping. More importantly, I love how she conveys so much emotion with her face. Her eyes look so gentle and kind. It’s extraordinary.
