Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Harper Lexington gives us one of the many reasons that cheese is a wonderful thing. Off the top of my head, I can think of about 55 reasons to celebrate cheese, but surely macaroni and cheese has to be near the top. Has macaroni and cheese ever looked so romantic before? The soft light, the pastels, the oozing spillage, it all spells the most delicious decadence.

Jena ingeniously uses moss as a tablecloth for her spread of cheese, deli meats, chocolates, and fruit. There is nothing quite like a schmear of soft goat cheese on figs. It tastes so good, it might be illegal. Cheese is that magical food that goes with nearly every food group, meat, fruit, veggies, breads, wine…they all love cheese and generally are better for the association.
Out of curiosity, I searched for cheese in the SL MarketPlace and came back with 3682 results for “cheese”. Of course a few were of the “Say Cheese” variety, but you really could stack your table with a lot of cheese.
Tomohdoobie gives us the cheese lover’s heaven, a cheese shop. Can you imagine the aroma? Well, I suppose it will depend on the types of cheese in the shop.
My college roommate and I volunteered at a food co-op on Monday nights for a discount on our purchases. Monday night was Cheese Rustlers night, when volunteers worked to cut the huge wheels of cheese delivered from an artisanal cheese factory in Wisconsin down to shopper-friendly sizes. Volunteers often brought their kids along while they worked cutting cheese, wrapping, weighing, and pricing. I will forever associate German Brick cheese with the Cheese Rustlers and with a child who came to his mom and complained his brother pooped in his diaper and his mom calmly replying, “No dear, that’s just the cheese.”
Here’s a gallery with more than 55 reasons to love Second Life cheese, though real life gives us even more reasons. While there are cheese factories all over the world, Wisconsin alone produces over 3.5 billion pounds of cheese a year, making it the top producer in the U.S. The U.S. is also the top producer of cheese but not even in the top ten in cheese consumption. We’re slacking here in the U.S. so today, let’s have a slice of two of cheese in honor of Wisconsin and all the cheeseheads that made yesterday a good day. IYKYK.
