Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Varosh SantanaMiguel’s photostream is like a shot of adrenaline for your eyes. They are full of this wild energy that demands our attention. Take “The Last Rays,” his most recent work, I have to look closer to absorb what I am seeing. In his own words, from the description:
In the shimmering waters, where the last rays of the sun meet the darkness, Lysmaro reigns. His skin is adorned with perfect shades, and his back is crowned with crystalline fins — sharp as blades, yet as beautiful as the stars in the sky.
His staff, topped with a living pearl that pulses like a fragment of a long-lost star, he wields like no other. Surrounded by fish that swirl around him like liquid silver, and songs so hauntingly beautiful they could steal one’s sanity. Accompanied by magical currents, his voice echoes through the seas, both warning and promising in equal measure.

“The Final Hour” gives us a steampunk pirate and I love it. With parrots and monkey and all the latest steampunk piracy gear right down to a nixie clock, it’s extravagant and almost what my mom would call too much of a much. Almost! That word carries a lot of power because, while I doubt many pirate captains had three parrots and two monkeys to contend with, it works. We can totally believe he has a small menagerie and still manages to be the terror of the Seven Seas. And to excerpt a small bit from his description:
“He had silenced too many voices, cast too many dreams into the deep to turn back now.
The final map was drawn, the last plan set.
Only the darkness remained — and what had waited there for centuries.
He smiled. “At last.”
I may have missed seeing his Easter Bunny in time for my post but it’s not too late to share this delightfully whimsical deliverer of eggs and candy. I love his interpretation and the use of all those gorgeous eggs. Those giant plasticine flowers are fantastical additions that add to the humor that seems to inspire this picture.
Varosh SantanaMiguel’s stream is a visual feast. Whether his pictures are cosplay characters, fantasy bunnies, or himself wandering the grid, he creates a congruence between himself and his environment that is exciting to see. Everything is in context and working together. He adds to that with his short stories and essays. He is a blogger and his blog has complete and clear credits with stories or poems he has written to go with his pictures You definitely should hit that follow button.
