Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Penumbra of Carterville may be doing a public service with “Toxic Tampons” as we are informed that they have found toxic pesticides in tampons at forty times the legal limit for water. Somehow I don’t think it is accidental that the tampons are shaped like rockets and march in a tighter formation than the U.S. Army did for Trump’s Dear Leader cosplay. You can see them at work in Penumbra’s short video:
She provides a link to the installation so you can see it for yourself.

“Breasts for Eyes” cracks me up with Penumbra’s ingenious solution to maintaining eye contact with men who constantly stare southerly from a woman’s face. Just put some eyes where they are looking and you, too, will be able to make eye contact. She is selling them on Marketplace, just ten Lindens.
Now if she only sold them in real life.
Trump has proposed a Golden Dome, inspired by Israel’s Iron Dome, but of course, he gilds everything. Penumbra has suggested his Golden Dome has been more successful at keeping out desirable things like honesty, diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is certainly his goal. He seems singularly focused on eliminating honesty.
Penumbra of Carterville is a surrealist, using the fantastic to highlight the absurdity of the times in which we are living. While most of her work is political, most of it is more universal. At times, she makes a idiom quite literal like “blood from a turnip” or “carrot and stick.” There is an active sense of humor running through her work, making even her harshest criticism fun. I wish more people were enjoying her quirky humor and surrealistic art.
