The gloriously dorky Deadpool dance from the opening of Deadpool & Wolverine (SL version above, original from the movie below) is officially available in a Second Life store*. I say "official", because the SL animation is a motion capture of dancer Nick Pauley AKA Dancepool, who actually performed the opening scene of the movie. (No, that wasn't Ryan Reynolds doing those seriously sweet moves.)**
Click here to get it from the Mount Paragon sim, mainstore of Paragon, the Los Angeles-based mocap studio which has been creating and selling these RL mocap dances in Second Life for over five years. Which even if you're not a Deadpool fan, is an important takeaway: The Second Life economy is large enough to support sales of Hollywood-grade mocap animations.
* Technically the Deadpool dance was unveiled at an SL event last month, but it was kinda complicated to acquire.
** For what it's worth, I liked the actual movie Deadpool & Wolverine just fine, but the plot is somewhat confusing if you haven't first seen Logan. But having seen Logan, I still think D&W spent way too much time trying to connect the two movies, which struck me fan service for only the most hardcore Marvel geeks. Most of us are just here to watch Ryan Reynolds do his trademark fey wacky shit, not for some highly nerdy exposition about multiple universes. Anyway.
