Avatars Against Trump: Louise Mensch & Virtual Mystery Van Avatar Cosplay

This Avatars Against Trump submission from Alexa Bristol is an impressive cosplay tribute to Louise Mensch, the reporter and former UK Parliament member who's become both famous and notorious for scooping the media on major stories and angles related to the Trump campaign-Russia collusion story, based on her sources connected to "Five Eyes" intelligence community members. Alexa has her Louise avatar posing next to the Mystery Van from Scooby Doo, a winking tribute to ex-Bill Clinton staffer Claude Taylor, Louise's colleague in Trump-Russia collusion investigation. (Some media figures originally dismissed Mensch and Taylor as cartoon-level "Scooby gang" investigators, a charge which they cheerfully and ironically co-opted.)

Usually the trouble with using Second Life to create satirical images about Trump is, in the few days it takes to create and assemble the objects in it, a totally different outrage has eclipsed the one being satirized. But seeing as Puerto Rico still doesn't have safe drinking water, a paper towel pump-faking president portrait is probably, poignantly, persistently apropos. This one from dedicated metaverse political satirist Kake Broek, who Cajsa profiled for New World Notes here.

Cajsa Lilliehook makes brutally effective use of Second Life's new highly-articulated Bento avatar skeleton to make a highly articulated expression against Trump as a moral hazard. I.E., "Taking risks when one is protected from the consequences." Which to judge by talk of impeachment coming even from some Republicans now, might not be true for much longer. Also, kudos for the first known use of Bento tech for political expression!
