For group chat, peep this hilarious D&D alignment chart by Redditor u/TheTrickyDoctor. Personally I'd put Second Life into the Chaotic Neutral category, but that's just me. It was posted in Reddit's VRChat group, so assume a bias there.

Pretty well-played, Linden Lab! I guess you could say "other metaverses" include equally leg-less Rec Room, but Meta's Horizon Worlds is the clear target. Wonder if Philip Rosedale, who recently returned to helping develop Second Life as a alternative to Meta's "ad-driven behavior modification Metaverse", had a hand (leg?) in this April Fool's smartassery.  

While the announcement is all about avatar legs, the Viagra-scented video of sexy babe avatars talking about their boo's problems "down there" make it pretty clear what we're actually talking about (wink wink):

Rod Humble Becomes Cardboard Cutout Second Life Meme

Linden Lab CEO Rodvik Humble has his own Wikipedia entry, has worked with game design legend Will Wright, has created several acclaimed art games, but he never attained true notoriety until he became an epic meme: Meet Flat Rodvik, a cardboard cutout of Rod Humble's Second Life avatar who is adventuring through SL's blogosphere, showing up in strange settings, many quite romantic, which should tell you something (and I think it does).

A meme from the mad making of Strawberry Singh (who else), Humble's cardboard cutout has appeared in dozens of SL blogger posts, which you can check out in the comment thread of Ms. Singh's original meme-unleashing blog post. So far, my favorite is this one from Chaotic Virtuality, in which virtual Rod Humble visits virtual recreations of historical landmarks, carried from place to place on a virtual hot date. Unsurprisingly, most of the SL bloggers who've embraced the Flat Rodvik meme are women in Second Life's large fashionista community, which is easily the most active in SL. He's gone on so many dates, Rod Humble himself was inspired to post a comment in Strawberry's comment thread:

Second Life Problems Go Viral - Though Many Are Actually Linden Lab Problems

The Second Life Problems meme has gone crazy viral since I blogged about it last Friday, with nearly a couple hundred macros submitted by users. This one at the left is one of my favorites, because I'm pretty sure I resemble that remark. I was just complaining in a recent post that I have to use the third party Imprudence viewer, because the official viewer keeps crashing on me. Someone suggested that I just go and buy a new laptop (even though this one is less than 16 months old).  To which my reply was: "My AlienWare M11x runs next generation AAA games like Skyrim just about perfectly, but somehow, can't run a client that's been around in some form for 10 years. Why should I spend $2000 to make up for Linden Lab's shortcomings?" Or to put it in a more apropos way, why does it seem SL users spend more time learning to deal with fundamental Second Life Problems, than the company that actually owns Second Life?

If You Could Play World of Warcraft in Second Life, It Might Look Something Like This

"Honey, our weekly poseball date is tonight, are you still in here grinding?!" This is a spot-on parody by Molly Montale, originally created for a Second Life photo contest. And while there are no plans I'm aware of to bring World of Warcraft in Second Life, it actually is theoretically possible to do so, by connecting Linden Lab's new LLMedia API to a Virtual Network Computing port, remotely connecting in-world to another computer running WoW. Aimee Trescothick did that to run Second Life from within Second Life. Anyone want to try that with WoW?
