MR WOLF has a Flickr microblog. I was intrigued by his picture/post title, “I’m tired of using technology🐺🎧.” I feel that way sometimes. But then I think of all the friendships I have that would not exist without Second Life and SL and technology are inseparable. And of course, Plurk is a deep and solid friendship circle all tethered to technology. If only I could type telepathically. I kind of envy Mr. Wolf’s set up, what with multiple monitors so he can keep track of several things at once. But does he have room for a cat? Can a Wolf have a cat?

Juls Nebula is a Flickr microblogger and yes, this is a shot of lingerie, but it’s lingerie that covers the nether regions. She’s wearing a lovely corset bra and tap pants. What catches my eye though is her fabulous color coordination with the room. Her outfit matches the pillow and complements the dark blue room. It’s a lovely picture.

M I R U has a lovely blog called MIRU in SL with a laser focus on decor. In the post Warm-Hearted Tales, she imagines our avatars continuing to live while we’re logged out, or in this case, to work, sewing away in this gorgeous room. 

Isn’t that Poppy Treepod lamp extraordinary? I want one in my real life. I might take up sewing if I could do it in such a lovely room. That’s not true. I’ve not touched a sewing machine since 8th grade home-ec.

Marta Spada’s blog I Got It makes me happy. Her post Feels Intentional some of my favorite things in Second Life — clothes. Seriously bloggers! Unless you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s winter. Put some clothes on. I love her outfit, though there is something illogical about a  long-sleeved, mock-turtle-neck sweater that’s cropped so your tummy gets to freeze. #058 of 2023 is just a single example of the gorgeous style brought to us by ByteDreams Slade, who excels at showing us classic, tasteful fashion. She’s one of the fashion bloggers who realize clothing is far more interesting when people wear it, as opposed to bearing as much digital skin as possible. But there is nothing prudish about Byte Dreams, but she does wear a lot more clothes than the average blogger and I love her for that.

The color on this dress is gorgeous, one of those colors that look good on everyone, but set off by her dark skin, the dress looks like a jewel. Here’s what she’s wearing:

Verandi Diavolo’s recent microblog “Flavors” caught me in a Thanksgiving frame of mind. 

I love that cardinal plushie (on the left) from Ariskea, but alas, it was exclusive to the September FAMESHED event.The mushrooms are also no longer available because they were exclusive to Equal10 in September. Sometimes there is no substitute for going to the events. 

Last night, IRL friends and I began discussing what to make for the upcoming Friendsgiving. Not only that, but in a complete coincidence, my best friend brought over a carrot cake that looked very much like this one down to the nuts along the bottom. Is there any frosted cake better than carrot cake?

MarktheDark fits the Halloween bill perfectly with his Flickr microblog. This is some spooky stuff. If someone came to my door looking like this, I wouldn’t be sticking around to hear the words “trick or treat.” 

“Desbordamiento…” is overflowing with menace from the flames reflected in his coal-shadowed eyes to the phalanx of soldiers behind him. That double-sided Viking Battle Ax isn’t any slouch in the fright department either. I suppose the ax has a double bit so he can take a swipe at you coming and going. It is probably better balanced in battle than a single-sided ax, as well. Items:

Lumberjacks, like my uncle, used a double bit ax because one edge was sharper for cutting down the tree and the other edge was duller for splitting off the limbs or splitting wood. A double bit ax is heavier than a single-edged ax, so they would never carry the extra weight unless it served a useful purpose whether in timber-felling or in battle.

Luna Morineaux has a self-named blog. This post, The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper, despite the magical items, feels so real. It’s messy, realistically messy. I love it.

My mom had a desk like this. It didn’t have a skull or anything magical, but I remember sitting there and picking up a hinge and wonder “why is this here?” The rest of the house was neat as a pin,, but that desk was the vortex where all the mess collected. Don’t know where to put something? Put it on the desk.
