Luna Morineaux has a self-named blog. This post, The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper, despite the magical items, feels so real. It’s messy, realistically messy. I love it.

My mom had a desk like this. It didn’t have a skull or anything magical, but I remember sitting there and picking up a hinge and wonder “why is this here?” The rest of the house was neat as a pin,, but that desk was the vortex where all the mess collected. Born from Chaos or #865 is by Lita Menges on the blog The Rabbit Hole. That tattooing is a real commitment. The shoes work perfectly with the bodysuit, almost as though they are a set. That E-Clipse Design Tail confuses me, but delightfully so. It all becomes clear in the next post. She has a cybernetic arm so she is all set for the next transhumanist roleplay. Alma Berta is a Flickr microblogger whose anime characters are having fun. I am particularly fond of “Special Heart” because she is wearing the right-sized garters and not those too-tight-thigh-squeezing-circulation-stopping monstrosities with red and irritated skin. Gross Rizzo is a Flickr microblogger with a unique style all her own, one that is hard to describe. “Pretty Lungs” is a good example. She has this sort of rockabilly/kawaii/goth/grunge vibe that I find charming and so very original. Consider this outfit, it dances around several styles but there is at least one element that keeps it from landing on one. Even her music video inspiration by Princess Chelsea has a similar off-kilter sensibility despite being very heavily autotuned.

Second Life Blogger Randomly Meets Ukraine User Practicing Virtual Tai Chi as a Respite from the War

“🇺🇦 Miss Little Shiny Dust 🇺🇦” is a recent post in Lori Novo’s self-titled blog where she combines fashion with travel blogging. Her blog’s tag line is “ROAMancing Second Life.” 

In this post, Lori had decided to feature someone else in her blog, just looking around the virtual world until she found someone whom she thought had style or who would appreciate the gift of being featured. She headed to Tempura Island, a place where there are almost always a few people.” 

She went to the Tai Chi class where she met Little Miss Shiny Dust, a child avatar whose user is from Ukraine in real life, and who finds peace and relaxation in Tai Chi. 

Lori shared a bit of their conversation.

New Gather & Nest Blog is a Good Guide to Second Life Homes & Land

There’s a new blog in town and it’s called Gather and Nest. It’s a group blog focused on Linden Homes that aims to reach beyond the blog and form a community of gatherers and nesters. The founders are Gorgeous Aurelia (Gogo), Teresa Firelight, and Malayaa Morningstar with more to come. 

They plan for the blog to be useful as evidenced by this early blog post: Choose Your Linden Home is broken, but it doesn’t have to stay that way! This is an opinion piece by one of the nesters, Gogo of Juicybomb, with suggestions on how to improve the Premium Plus home selection perk as well as practical advice for people who might want to trade homes or address other issues. The Wildness Factor is a blog brought to you by Jack Wild or, more specifically, 00JackWild00. It’s a men’s fashion blog that goes for classic looks with a man who is going about his daily life. Getting in his car, going to his apartment, walking in the rain, etc. His style focuses on neutral colors and styles that will be popular for years to come.

Take this outfit from his Post 596, Is there are more classic wool print than the houndstooth? It’s been around for over two thousand years and still looks good. The leather and wood toggle closure is another nod to historic clothing. Add a cable knit sweater, grey wool pants and a flat cap and you have an outfit ready for anything.
