Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
When I saw Cascabel Czarny’s Flashdance homage, I immediately wondered if anyone else had done the same. I love how the backdrop makes it seem so much more part of a show. The hair is realistically wet, the water is gorgeous, but those lightbulbs in the back make the picture stand out.

I also liked Beatrix Wallace’s Flashdance homage. She went in a completely different direction by doing it all in silhouette with the backlighting so bright you don’t see the water or any of the details. Since water is a tough thing to add to pictures, this was a smart workaround.
This one by Andrea Stoeckli casts the avatar in silhouette. There is no need to find hair that looks wet, especially with her hair in an updo or cut short. I love the water on the floor and her shadow cast on the water. I love the fact the water is not a perfect circle but a bit more dynamic splashing up when it hits her or the floor.
It’s fun to see several people tackling something similar. There have been many homages to Flashdance in SL, but these are my favorites.
